Two-Tray Growing System Instructions

The Deep Water Innovations™ Two-Tray Growing System™ is a true hydroponics system. By providing a highly oxygenated water solution via our custom ceramic oxygen diffusers, this super oxygenated media provides the perfect environment for healthy root development and nutrient uptake. Achieve vigorous growth rates and higher yields by switching to deepwater culture.

Parts List:

2 36"x10"x9" molded grow trays
2 Molded Tray Lids
8 Five inch heavy-duty net pots
6 Five inch red caps
2 Bags of clay pellets
1 O2 Max™ air pump w/ 4 gang valve
2 Black air tubing
1 Red level indicator tubing
1 Barbed drain elbow
8 Custom ceramic oxygen diffusers
2 5/16" nipple fitting

Step 1

Place molded reservoir on a level surface in propagation area. The reservoir will rock back and forth due to the patented manifold design built into the base. When filled with water the tank will sit level on the ground.

Step 2

Slide red tubing onto one end and push the other barbed end into tray grommet. Make sure the open end of the red tubing tucks underneath the lip of the tank.

Step 3

Slide 5/16 nipple fitting into the middle hole of the manifold and remaining four diffusers into the outer holes of the manifold. Note: All grommets will come installed in manifold.

Step 4

Place Two Tray™ lid on top of tank and push black air hose though small hole in tray lid. Connect ends of black air hose to 5/16" nipple fitting located in the manifold and to the T fitting which should be connected to the O2 Max™.

Step 5

This system provides 8 net pots and 6 red caps. Net pots and caps can be placed in any desired position depending on how large or how small your plants will be. Leaving at least one hole with a cap is recommended so you can have access to the inside of the tank.

Step 6

Fill reservoirs 3/4 with water, add nutrients, and adjust pH using horticultural grade pH buffers. CAUTION: Due to the direct contact of roots with nutrient solution, EC levels may be maintained at 1/2 to 3/4 strength than that of a typical hydroponics nutrient solution. CAUTION: If using root plugs be sure that water level touches the bottom of the plug in order for it to remain moist until roots have grown through the net pots.

Step 7

Fill net pots half full with expanded clay pellets. CAUTION: Thoroughly rinse expanded clay pellets before use. Place bare-rooted cutting or root cube into the middle of net pot and fill remaining space with expanded clay pellets. Push joiner pins through matching holes in lid and tray. Plug in O2 Max™ air pump, sit back, and enjoy your harvest.

SPECIAL NOTES

    * Through extensive testing of these water culture systems we have found that the best results can be achieved by keeping the nutrient solution as simple as possible. Certain nutrient amendments are beneficial, but not necessary.
    * For increased plant vigor HUMMIC ACIDS can be added to solution, but take caution as some brands may color the reservoir black. This does not hurt the roots in any way, but some prefer to keep nutrient solutions as clear as possible.
    * For increased vegetative and flowering Green Fuse™ Grow and Bloom Stimulator™ can be added to reservoir at a rate of 3/4 teaspoon per gallon.
